Kara Halonen

Kara Halonen, is a wife and a mother of two beautiful girls who have been diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder, with one of the girls having a dual diagnosis. Kara prides herself in being a proud special needs advocate, spreading awareness through her writing for magazines which include but is not limited to Abilities of Canada, The Local Biz, Today’s Kids in Motion and Autism Canada Magazine. She is also in the process of publishing a new book which will serve the special needs community.
Kara also manages her girls who both have been spreading autism awareness through print work since 2014.
Her mission is to to share her knowledge and experience to make a difference in what can be a very difficult and stressful time for many families.
