Our mandate is to provide behavioral services to children, youth and adults with autism and/or related exceptionalities using a holistic approach at an affordable rate in a safe learning environment. Autism effects not only the child/youth in the family environment but also the community and school environment. We also provide behavioral training, Social transition programming, respite services, parent training and mental health services.
TIPES works with individuals from all cultures and backgrounds; from newcomers, to families in Canada temporarily for work or education, TIPES families represent a cross-section of Canadian society. The families we work with have family members who have Autism, ADHD and other exceptionalities, such as Down Syndrome, Brain Injury, Global Developmental Disorder. We have single parent families, kids being raised by guardians and families who are both low and high income.
We have 44 full time staff that are made of behavioral therapists that provide 1:1 therapy to children, Senior Therapists who oversee and supervise programming, as well as social workers, and psychologists who make up the multi-disciplinary team.
