PLAY is a non-profit agency dedicated to facilitating the well-being of families living with Autism. Focusing on healthy lifestyles by means of physical education and the development of essential social skills, PLAY is committed to programs that benefit Autistic Youth, their families, and the community at large.
PLAY was founded in 2011 to bring structured physical activity to children living with autism.
PLAY’s in class training sessions will focus on the development of social and motor skills, led by our Athletic Co-ordinator and the support team. Our focus is to engage the youth in a series of fundamental activities associated with sports like basketball and soccer. We will be teaching them the essential and basic motor skills required to participate in these sports. The goal is for the individuals to participate in school and organized activities with confidence. PLAY’s youth will also learn to interact with one another and feel that they are part of team while having lots of fun. The goal is simple- none of our students should be sidelined.
