I have over 25 years of experience as a speech-language pathologist, working primarily with children in a variety of settings including schools, hospitals, and clinics.

I provide assessment and treatment in an interdisciplinary child-friendly environment. Parents often comment that it is a warm comfortable setting where their children feel quickly at ease.

I particularly enjoy working with very young children and I support an early intervention approach.

I believe that parents and other caregivers are an integral part of the assessment and therapy process.  Ongoing communication and collaboration with parents, teachers and other professionals in the child’s life is also an important part of my service plan.

I have many years of experience as a singer and music teacher and I particularly enjoy integrating these music skills in my therapy sessions.

I often incorporate technology (computer, iPad) into my therapy sessions.  This can be an effective tool that helps keep a child engaged and motivated while working on a variety of therapy goals.

I continue to improve my skills through ongoing learning opportunities such as workshops, courses, and self-study.  I also consult or collaborate with colleagues when needed to help me feel confident about my therapy goals and methods.
