Dual Therapy’s Functional Dance Classes for children are run by a Registered Occupational Therapist and a Registered Physiotherapist, both with extensive background in dance and working with children. The goal of the program is to help children achieve therapeutic functional goals through dance and movement while in a fun, inclusive group setting. Class activities focus on areas such as balance, strength, coordination, motor planning, flexibility, attention, and social interaction. At the start of the program, parents will identify goals (physical/social/emotional) for their child to work towards during the dance session. The classes run with a 1:2 instructor to student ratio, allowing for individualized attention and goal oriented care.
